Off the Eaten Track is proud to bring this unique tour to the Dine Out Vancouver Festival.  Olympic Village is one of the newest and most modern neighborhoods in Vancouver filled with unique architecture, exciting restaurants, craft breweries, and modern art installations.  First developed for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, this former industrial complex has been recently transformed into the greenest community in the world! Join our 2-hour guided walking tour to hear the history of False Creek, sip and sample our way through 6 local foodie stops, and take in the beautiful waterfront scenery that makes Vancouver one of the best cities in the world.

We start the tour at the Railtown Café, a modern restaurant serving up local and seasonal dishes. Here we sample a delicious salad. Don’t be dismayed, their salads have won awards! We then head to tiny but amazing Fife Bakery to sample various breads. Felix makes his addictive savoury bread using local ingredients like flour from Creston, eggs from Langley, and milk from Abbotsford. Here we also sample some locally roasted coffee (because you can’t come to Vancouver and not have gourmet coffee). We then stroll among the glass towers to reach hidden gem Oddity Kombucha. Here we sample two flavours of Kombuchas (fermented tea) and a small bite to eat of savoury toasts. We then move on to sample some Roman-style pizza at Bibo. This authentic pizza joint got their inspiration from Gabriele Bonchi, considered the Michelangelo of pizza in Rome. Needless to say you will be blown away by this modern and unique style of pizza. We then grab a sample of local craft beer at one of Vancouver’s largest tap rooms and brewery, and we end the tour with some gelato from Mario’s Gelato, one of the oldest gelato makers in Canada.
